4 Installing TOMVIEW
4.1 Install on Windows
For Windows an InstallShield installer extracts the TOMVIEW files and
automatically sets the
PATH environment variable to point at
directories containing dynamic libraries required by some TOMVIEW
modules. The installer is downloaded from the web site.
There might be a need to reboot the computer after installation.
4.2 Upgrade on Windows
With Add/Remove Programs from the control panel, remove the TOMVIEW
Optimization Environment. Install the new version in the same
location. As defaults in TOMVIEW may change over time a backup copy
of the old version is recommended.
4.3 Uninstall on Windows
To uninstall TOMVIEW on Windows select TOMVIEW in the list of programs
under Start → Settings → Control Panel
→ Add or Remove Programs.
