Business Development Engineer Position
Description
The Business Development Engineer will work
closely with advanced control engineers in the implementation of advanced
multivariable and optimizing control strategies.
Responsibilities
n
Business management
·
Coordinate work with the
various customers
·
Ensure that every
delivery of process control/optimization applications within a project are
completed on schedule or sooner.
·
Do not allow scope
creep.
n
Communications
·
Ensure that project
impediments are quickly addressed with the appropriate customer Tomlab
management.
·
Always stay fully
informed.
n
Customer relations
·
Manage customer
expectations.
·
Minimize customer
concerns
n
Planning
·
Identify and promote
opportunities that will reduce development delivery costs.
·
Recommend process
control software, tools and training that will enhance the skills of
individuals and improve their productivity.
n
Reporting
·
Provide weekly progress
reports via email or verbally as required
Qualifications
n
Masters of Science
degree in engineering or applied sciences from an accredited college or
university. Course work related to
optimization and process control is preferred.
n
Working knowledge of
Swedish; English fluency.
n
Ability to travel
internationally and domestically (roughly 25%)
Experience
n
At least two years of
development and project experience implementing process optimization and
control systems.
n
Some supervisory
experience as a team leader highly desirable.
n
Related experience in
the planning and execution of small control projects is advantageous.
